Arnold Schwarzenegger’s use of performance-enhancing drugs, or steroids as they are commonly called, dates back to the early 1960s. According to reports, during this time period he was using androgenic agents such as testosterone as part of his body-building regimen.
Arnold Schwarzenegger states that he used androgens because they had been recommended by his bodybuilders coach. Many people question the validity of claims such as these, and most especially if the claims are that old.
The question of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s usage of steroids is one that has been asked by many people all over the world. The question is whether the famous body builder actually took steroids while he was in Hollywood.
Arnold’s lawyers have stated that the star did not use steroids, but rather used performance enhancing drugs obtained legally from a doctor in Mexico.
When questioned about this matter in the press, Arnold Schwarzenegger said; “I’m not sure about that. I believe there was a guy in North Carolina who I met in Hollywood. He said that steroids helped him create some muscles that weren’t there before, and they were for his movies.”
Supposedly, the “North Carolina guy” was none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger himself. Supposedly, he was introduced into the body builder’s circle by one of the movie’s producers.
Arnold Schwarzenegger has been quoted as saying that he would “be open to helping some athletes that need them,” if he ever received money for using legal steroids.
The only person who can confirm this story is none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger himself.
In turn, the media has portrayed Arnold as a man who is greedy and who benefits from using illegal substances. While this may be true, the use of steroids is not something that is frowned upon in society like smoking or drinking alcohol.
Many body builders feel that steroids are a necessary part of their body-building regimen. They feel that their bodies cannot develop the natural muscle mass without the aid of the anabolic steroid.
Arnold Schwarzenegger himself did state that he uses steroids to help him enhance his physical appearance.
The fact is that Arnold Schwarzenegger did use steroids when he was a body builder. Arnold was so dedicated to becoming a champion body builder that he did even in his sleep use legal steroids.
His dedication to his career and body building made it easy for him to take the anabolic steroid. Many of the supplements Arnold used were illegal because they contained controlled substances such as steroids.
Even though the laws in the USA at that time were relatively loose, Arnold still was able to use them. This is in spite of the fact that he received numerous drug test alerts for steroid use.
In fact, many of the supplements Arnold used while he was a body builder are still legal in the USA today. The only steroids that are not legal are testosterone enhancing drugs.
Arnold Schwarzenegger did admit to take the anabolic steroid dimethylpentane, but he claimed it was taken in the name of diet pills. Since these are not legal steroids, there is no record of them being used by Arnold during his career.
Some legal steroids that can still be used today include Dianabol, Epinephrine, Human Growth Hormone, norepinephrine, testosterone, and estrogen.
There are a number of legal steroids that Arnold used while he was a body builder. Steroid abuse can result in liver damage to the testicles if the user does not use it properly.
As with other professional athletes, Arnold Schwarzenegger has to follow certain rules and regulations about how he can use performance enhancing drugs.
He has had to pay a hefty fine for using steroids while he was a body builder, but because he admitted to it, he was allowed to resume his professional wrestling match with Hulk Hogan. This shows that Arnold has put himself in a difficult position.
If he uses steroids he could face severe consequences, but if he doesn’t he will have to live with the stain of shame for the rest of his life.
